emma only answers a fixed list of trigger phrases, most of which need the word emma in them. type 'emma test' in a channel she can see: she always replies 'yes im alive idiot'. if she doesn't, she is blocked by a channel permission, a discord timeout, a stuck story mode or a channel lock. the help page can add the pessimist bot to your server, check all four and fix them.
